[B] Scope of Service:
- Vendor needs to provide annual supply of fire service to the government authority located in Lincoln, NE.
- City intends to contract for the annual supply of various sizes of water meters and supplies on an as needed basis for the water system.
- Agency has a fully implemented automatic meter reading system using ITRON endpoints and ITRON fcs meter reading software.
- The city intends to continue using the same or similar meter reading devices so that consistency and compatibility is maintained with respect to meter installations, meter programming, meter testing, meter reading and billing, and parts inventory.
- For the purpose of establishing grade, quality, capacity, dimensions and required operating characteristics; acceptable meters supplied by the vendor should be badger fire service meter model fsaa-01 with badger hr-e registers.
- Registers supplied with the water meter shall be wired with a plug-in type connector that is compatible with ITRON model 100w+ pit style endpoint modules; no exceptions.
- The city shall give every consideration to equal equipment so long as meters have the same operating characteristics, accuracy, data collection, capabilities, installation method, reading capabilities, and compatibilities with reading software.
- FM approval certification required as follows:
- fire series meter assembly: FM 1044
- strainer: FM 5551
- valves: FM 1045
