(1) Vendor needs to provide law enforcement liaison services to the government authority located in Lincoln, NE. - The law enforcement liaison is to aid the highway safety office through the provision of safety program representation, guidance, marketing, coordination, and implementation. - Topics will include: traffic enforcement, occupant protection, child passenger safety seat enforcement, impaired driving deterrence, distracted driving, enforcing underage drinking laws and to support implementation of any additional traffic safety enforcement programs as implemented by the agency. - This is a high-profile position with workloads that may fluctuate and can be demanding, often with competing priorities. - Make onsite visits, conduct fieldwork, and make oral presentations, as well as frequent visits to law enforcement facilities and occasional ride-along with law enforcement officers. - Provide support for promoting proven highway safety countermeasures, checkpoints, and enforcement strategies. - Provide support as a spokesperson and champion of highway safety program and campaigns. - Provide specialized technical assistance to communities, state and local law enforcement. - Provide training to law enforcement and guidance on effective traffic safety operations and enforcement strategies. - Prepare periodic activity reports. - Provide operational and administrative services which ensure quality and consistency through the state and guarantee compliance with all regulatory requirements. - Provide link and act as point of contact between law enforcement community and agency. - Provide leadership in traffic safety network and in relationship building (2) All questions must be submitted no later than March 7, 2023. (3) The contract period will be for one year.
