Government Authority located in Lincoln, Nebraska; USA based organization looking for expert vendor for legal assistance and outreach services.
[A] Budget: Looking For Proposal
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide legal assistance and outreach services to the government authority located in Lincoln, NE.
- The service conducts legal outreach, which are in-person community education presentations by an attorney, or staff supervised by an attorney, at senior centers, conferences, or other public events,
- Legal Assistance is legal advice and representation provided by an attorney to eligible individuals aged sixty and over with economic or social need and includes to the extent feasible, counseling or other appropriate assistance by a paralegal or law student under the direct supervision of an attorney,
- Case research, preparation, correspondence, and other related activities are to be conducted at the Legal Services provider’s office/practice,
- Legal Outreach events must be pre-approved by Aging Partners. Aging Partners and/or affiliated staff will be involved in the event coordination and marketing/promotion of the outreach event,
- The Contractor will give priority to legal assistance related to income/public assistance, public benefits, health care, long-term care, nutrition, housing, utilities, protective services, defense of guardianship, abuse, and neglect and age discrimination,
- Protective services includes, but is not limited to, matters of abuse prevention, financial exploitation, defense of guardianship and conservatorship proceedings, and powers of attorney,
- Public benefits includes, but is not limited to, Social Security/Supplemental Security Income, Veterans’ Administration, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Medicaid, and Medicare,
- Other case types include, but are not limited to, debt collection , consumer fraud, dissolution of marriage where income is affected, and wills,
- Housing includes, but is not limited to, tenant rights, utilities and public housing,
- Health care includes, but is not limited to, patient rights, health care powers of attorney, and living wills.
(2) All questions must be submitted no later than July 10, 2020.
[C] Eligibility:
Onshore (USA Organization Only);
[D] Work Performance:
Performance of the work will be Offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office location.
