[A] Budget: Looking for proposal
[B] Scope of Service:
Vendor needs to provide the installation of a library book detection system for the library.
- The successful bidder shall provide design, materials, software, and all other supporting equipment and incidentals and labour to furnish a complete for a fully operational system. All materials shall be new and free from defects.
- Install an electromagnetic library book detection system with alarm and door counter at locations specified. System shall include all features of specified equipment.
- Installation of the components shall be by a qualified factory trained representative of manufacturer.
- Components and materials shall be new and of recent manufacture and undamaged.
- An exit aisle shall be formed by a minimum of two sensing antennas. All exiting patrons will pass through this exit aisle. Each corridor shall be a minimum of 36" wide at its narrowest point.
- Wider corridor requirements: The corridor distance can be increased to 60” (between the antennas) depending on the site environment and the tags in the collection. At the time of installation, the system can be set up and tested to determine the ideal antenna separation taking into consideration the customer’s preferences and requirements.
- System shall detect electromagnetic security tags and be compatible with any existing EM technology.
- The system shall use digital signal processing technology
- Conditions vary at each installation location. System shall be capable of being placed no further than 18” from metal doorframes, windows, walls, structural steel, etc.
- Remote system diagnostics, configuration and tuning through the ethernet port with access to the internet and network.
- Optional built-in patron counter.
- System shall have a built-in CCTV alarm relay.
- Cabling and installation of peripherals shall be included.
- Installation is direct mount.
- Any and all readers, software, cables, connectors, and peripherals shall be included.
- System shall meet ADA and Barrier Free Accessibility Codes and shall not obstruct the accessibility of access by wheelchairs

[D] Work Performance:
Performance of the work will be Offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office premises.
